I have always wished I could knit or sew, but I have neither the hands nor the patience for such work.  However, I do love the color and texture of textiles. I am particularly drawn to the raw materials from which fabrics and yarns are made.  I am lucky to have talented and patient friends who weave and spin and knit and sew and who generously pass along their glorious leftovers for me to play with.  And a fly-tying husband, who introduced me to the wonders of feathers and fur.
